Canfield head off a dirt track car. Had a valve to piston crash, broke ex valve seat, intake guide boss, and peckerized that combustion chamber.Pre and post heat at 350 degrees, weld with A356 filler, machine and grind to taste. Attached Images

Reply:man, you do marvelous repairs! although, every single one of your posts sounds like a recipe for grill chicken pre-heat oven to 350, bake for 45 minutes, turn over half way through, and post heat 350 for another 45 minutes. cheers
Reply:What's the advantage of using A356 filler? And why do you pre-heat your aluminum heads? I've never pre-heated any of my cast aluminum parts and they seem to be holding fine.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
