Reply:Double containment is used to control pipe that may leak, a secondary back up...pipe over 36" we cut by Hand with a Plasma, under that we have an automated machine where you input lengths, it can do up to 70 cuts, can cut holes, saddles, straight, bevels,  at any degree, and any orientation 0-360 the table can work off a 42' peice of pipe http://www.watts-specialties.com/cl124x4.htmUA local 32Team weld-coolTeam miller elite tack upMiller pro-staff
Reply:That's some serious fitting there my good man, nice pics.
Reply:The first time I did containment pipe was at Ross Island, Antarctica. The pipe I was doing was 6" sch 80 and ran along stands above the ground. At every road crossing we would have to 90 down and into a 12" containment pipe with rubber insulator rings around the 6" pipe. All of it had to measured, laid out, fitted and welded outside in the weather. Trying to slide the 6" into the 12" was almost impossible with those damn rubbers on it. Two 3 ton come-a-longs maxed out then bang, the pipe would slide in 2". Then we had to keep going for 30'. After it was in all the way we had to 90 up on each end with the 6" and then fit the 12" 90's over that. All x-rayed just to make it fun. Don't miss that. Miss Antarctica though.CERTIFICATIONS:7018M- H.V.O10718M- H.V.O11018M- H.V.O9N10- H.V.O71T-1-HYM- H.O.V100S1 PULSE ARC 0,035- H.O.V100S1 PULSE ARC 0.045- H.O.VER70S-3 PULSE ARC 0.035 H.O.VER70S-3 PULSE ARC 0.045 H.O.VER5554- H.O.V
