I want to replace the lug that comes on the weld cable with a tweco cable connector. The only issue is that the weld cable on the spoolmatic 30A is 3 awg and I don't know what cable connector will work I was hoping somebody could help. I had messaged weldfabulous and they recommend a lenco lc-40 connector but when I checked the specifications it said No. 1/0 thru No. 2/0 cable capacity, I'm pretty confused.
Reply:Hello royalblue302, I would skin back enough of the cable so that you could fold it over itself, in essence doubling it's size. Then I would wrap it with the thin copper sheeting that comes with a lot of the various connectors slide it into the connector and snug it down firmly. As long as the set screw doesn't screw all the way through it's thread hole you should be good to go. Good luck and best regards, Allanaevald
