Simple but effective for small projects. This table will probably evolve over time. I decided to leave to bottom open for the time being. My vice will stay bolted to a stationary bench vs. receiver mount on this table. The table is just too small and mobile for heavy bending, etc. Top: 1/2" thick x 2' x 4'Height: 36.75" Attached Images

Reply:Nice. Did you drill and tap the holes yourself?Jack OlsenMy garage website

Reply:Looks very nice! MIG or Stick?
Reply:Matt,Thanks. It rolls a little too easy. That's why I didn't move my vice to the table. Glad it has brakes.Jack,The holes were drilled with a 1/2" slow speed drill from Harbor Freight. They are not tapped. I just finished making the center row holes 3/4" and the outside rows 9/16". I'm surprised the drill actually survived!Tanglediver,California to Texas.......The gas would cost about as much as it cost to build it!GotZ71,MIG.
Reply:Is the plan to use the hold-downs you tap with a hammer?I used the same drill to mount my vise to a 1" thick steel table. I still use the drill on a pretty regular basis. It's a real bargain.Jack OlsenMy garage website
Reply:I can now use Jorgenson's "F" style clamps in the middle row and a drill press quick clamp in the outer rows. C-clamps and big Strong Hand "F" style clamps can go around the edges. The outer row of holes will also allow for adjustable work stops which I may make next weekend. The Harbor Freight drill was a bargain for $24.00. It was on sale + 20% off coupon. I looked at a Rigid for 159.00 and a DeWalt for 169.00. I figured I could buy 6 of the Harbor Freight drills for the price of 1 Rigid. Definitely a surprise bargain!
