Reply:You need a offset in your tongue. I think you chariot would be more confortable if it were level. Otherwise looks like fun.
Reply:Orange peel the end of the pipe so the your horse won't get gouged.Don't know if bondo works on a horse.I watched a chariot steer roping contest once. Two guys per chariot, one driver, one roper. The roper used one hand to rope and one hand to hold on.To the waistband of the drivers pants. When the steer got roped and hit the brakes that roper come flying out the back, one hand holding rope and one holding empty pants.Reminded me of skinning a rabbit.tractor,loader.dozer,backhoe,and all the tools to keep em movin
Reply:You dont need to offset the pipes, just throw some 54" Mickey ThompsonBaja Claws on the cart.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:You need a single tree to make it easier on the horse.

Reply:You have the right set up for what you are doing a single tree would allow the cart to move towards the horse when slowing or going down a grade. I would add about 6 inches to the shafts and put a slight outward bend just past where you wrap your tugs this also help when hooking up as it allows the shafts to glide past the the horses hind quarters if everything is in alignment. Can't tell from the pic is the bridle a side check or over check?"Liberalism is a mental disorder" Dr. Savage |
