Just bought this puppy from HF for a measly $55 plus $6.99 shipping to my door. Made a phone order and told the salesperson I would buy it now if he would apply the 20% off in-store coupon which he did...I'm planning on using this cart as a base starting point to house my SP135T mig and the new Miller Dynasty 200DX I just ordered. Once I get the cart in my grubby hands I'm going to try and add a reinforced tank rack for a single gas tank for the 200DX. Does anyone have this cart? Reviews or input appreciated. I figure, for $55 and being rated for 350lb how can you lose? What are folks using for carts these days?? Feel free to chime in and show your cart projects!
Reply:Sounds like you are collecting a nice line up! Search "welding cart" and you can read for hours!Miller diversion 165Miller mig 211Hypertherm pm 30Milwaukee 6230 14 inch chop sawMd 45 mag drill (RIP; fell on its head)New MD 45! Thanks to the esposa! Finally got an O/A setup
Reply:Seems like most folks build their own carts, like Elliot said do a search on welding carts and read for days. With what you have, by the time you add the welders, reinforced tank rack, tank, leads, wire, filler rod, powercords, assorted consumables, hood, and no telling what else, you will already be pushing or exceeding the 350# capacity. Remember it's only a HF cart to begin with so it might be overated at 350# to begin with. Look over a bunch of the posts on carts and you will probably get many ideas you really like, and decide to design and construct one that really suits you and what you want to use it for. It could be something that will look better, last longer, and be easier to add on to or modify in the future as your needs change.
Reply:Thanks for the replies, lots of great cart ideas out there...

Reply:I can see that cart being maxed out with the Lincoln alone. City of L.A. Structural; Manual & Semi-Automatic;"Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place where gold is refined. Iron is taken from the earth, and copper is smelted from ore."Job 28:1,2Lincoln, Miller, Victor & ISV BibleDanny
Reply:We will sure know after it arrives. My SP135T weights in at 50-60 loaded up, the 200DX about the same. I figure another 75lbs for gas (the SP135 is loaded with flux core wire). If the cart is rated for 350lbs but actually only holds 200lb in think I can work with it. my sure ill be modding it anyway. Worst case, I'll load it up with something else!

Reply:You might not be to happy with the sturdiness of that cart when loaded up. My welder came with a previous owner built cart that I have since added to. It has bigger air filled rear tires and metal front casters. Nice and solid!I have a smaller HF type cart than the one pictured with a load rating of like 150# and when I put a pail on it to drain fluid out of a vehicle it gets wobbly and funny.I see you mention reinforcing it for a tank, I would be expecting to reinforce the whole thing. It is a good starting point though!
Reply:Wobbly is only good if your a weeble! Or.....
Reply:I have that cart.  I don't have any of my welders on it, but it holds at least 200#'s of autobody tools in it with no problems.  I did have a couple of mounting bolts back out on me, but a dab of loctite fixed that problem.
Reply:Well it came today, box looks good all though I have yet to open it. Box weights about 50 lbs, can't believe they shipped this for only $6.99....
