Just a fun simple project. An radiator overflow tank. If you look there is an unevenness to the top edge. This comes from the buffing wheel throwing it out of my hands 3x on the concrete.

Reply:It is a Moroso weld in cap from Summit:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MOR-85282/There are a couple weld in caps to choose from Summit, Jegs, etc.The aluminum is .090 and I think it is 3033.

Reply:i heard of people buying cheap thermo mugs with a screw top made outa aluminium and tigging them to make overflow bottles also, might be a cheap option but wouldn't be as good quality, just another idea
Reply:Deffinantly could have found an easier option but it was a project I wanted to do; and it gave me complete control over the dimensions. I was thinking about doing a perfect cube next. Thought it would be cool for the desk.

Reply:I use those caps pretty often though out the year.  I like the aluminum container idea.  Dont forget to clear coat it so you dont loose the shine.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.

Reply:I dont really have any recommendation for canned stuff because I've had mixed results ('m a welder), so I usually send my stuff to to the powdercoaters.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
