Finally finished up some electrical/pneumatic work and tried out the new PowerMax45. Oh my, I'm going to have some fun with this toy....Couple of courtesy shots - all mild steel, 3/16" ("s" shaped cuts), some 5/16" and even took a shot at some 1 1/4" square bar (not pretty, but it was my 5th cut with the unit and first of this thickness!). Never mind that plate underneath the "s" cuts, was just using it for support and got a little close. That 2nd pic shows the little "snake" I cut - one cut, then I offset by 1/8"-3/16" and cut again. Courtesy shop pic of the little beast...Definitely need to work on steadiness and have some dross for sure, but me likes already..Thanks for the recommedation and setup question answers I posted earlier in "Other Mfg's" section - Specter/Jim C.Oops?! Did I post this in the wrong section...? Reply:You got the right place!! That is cool; I have a little lincoln 25 plasma cutter, and I really like what it saves me in time and accuracy. You can get awesome cuts with straight edges, and templates to guide off of. It's almost cheating, it makes it so easy!!And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
