my friend picked up a welder but there is no info that came with the welder. tring to figure out anything that would be helpful i have a bunch of pictures the fuel filter was some he put on to help clear out the fuel line. it has a chrysler flat 6 with a carter carb. i dont think it was orginally ment to be a trailer but the person that orginally bought it made it into a towable unit. if any info is possible email me at [email protected] Attached Images

Reply:very good call Broccoli1. i believe it's an old hobart g-412 400 amp dc welder. i have a 1965 hobart catalog that shows a close match to yours but with some modifications and upgrades which leads to yours being early 1960's. and in the catalog it shows the g-412 using a chrysler ind. 32 - 6 cyl engine. that's a BIG welder, the dims show 90 3/4" - L, 24" - W, 45 3/4" - H, and 2400lbs.johnjohnwelding instructorwww.williamrmoore.orgMooreTech College of Technologywelder/fabricatorJGWilson, Inc.www.jgwilson.com
