Here's this weeks job, ready for paint.A couple of skirted full coverage chimney caps.The "small" one is 2'- 4" x  4'- 9" x 1'- 5 1/4"The larger one is 3'- 1" x 4'- 6" x 1'- 5 1/4"They'll lay over the top of the chimney and get fastened with some "tap-cons"The tops unbolt to allow cleaning.The skirt pieces after bending before grinding and final fit up.The finished corner of one of the skirts.Bending the 1/2" # 13 expanded metal.The bottom of the top.Done, except for prep, paint and installation.Brian LeonardAppalachian Ironworks L.L.C.434 Long Branch Rd, Marshall, NC 28753828 649 9966828 702 [email protected]
Reply:Brian,  As always, I love your work.  It's too bad I didn't know about you when we built here in 2004.   My chimney cap is a chimney crap!  It has leaked almost every year since we moved in.  I guess I'll just have to attempt to make one myself.  Good project for next year.  I will use your pics as an example.Nctox,  Stickmate LX  235AC/160DC  HH210
