90lb propane cylinder mount

Has anyone made mounting brackets for a 90lb propane cylinder? I have a customer that wants to mount 2 cylinders vertically to a forward trailer wall. I plan on cutting a dual saddle pattern out of 4x4 angle but cannot decide on the hold strapping. Reply:Look at the fuel tank straps for an 18 wheeler (tractor). They have a nice setup with the rig the bolt goes thru to tighten it as well as a hinge on the opposite end. I've seen people use a chain inside a rubberhose, chain welded to one end and a bolt welded to the other which goes thru an angle bracket to tighten.Myself, I go the cheap route and use a nylon web strap and a ratchet binder....Mike

Reply:Here is a tank mount I did for some propane cylinders mounted on the tongue of my brothers concession trailer. Not sure if this will help, but might give you some more ideas to work with.
