I'm just curious since I was browsing welders online and came across this Craftsman mig welder that is on sale: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...7313_200517313. I did a quick search here and on google and couldn't find any reviews that weren't on Craftman's site.
Reply:craftsman doesn't make anything. Its a chinese welder with there name on it. IMO buy a used Lincoln/Miller/Esab/ Thermal Arc and you will have a better machine.Millermatic 250Lincoln 180TLincoln SP-135Miller Thunderbolt AC/DCThermal Arc 161SAirco 300 Heliwelder

Reply:I'd look at a Hobart if you are on a budget and need a decent mig. I'm betting you can get a nicer Hobart for just a bit more money. Hobarts Ironman series is a heavier duty line than their Handler line with more output and duty cycle. You'll be right in the overlap between the Handdlers and Ironman lines with the amp rating you are looking at, so you can choose to save money and have a machine with less duty cycle, or "splurge" and get the heavier Ironman unit..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
