Reply:Not enough info, don't understand what you are trying to do, but, what about a small gear-motor controlled with a rheostat, do you have a picture.
Reply:you need a wire feeding motor from a mig welding machine :-)Then you can adjust speed as you like
Reply:Here go look at thishttp://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?p...peed%20control VernonHomemade Belt Sander "LINK"http://s795.photobucket.com/albums/y...Belt%20Sander/
Reply:Try a seach on this site, this has been discussed and some people have built nice positioners. An inexpensive rotating ground can be made with the flat woven copper strap material looped around the main positoner shaft and tensioned with a spring.
Reply:I think that Rockler controller would work and the price is right (thanks Vernon) I've seen several ideas for the grounding system but not for the motor control.Millermatic 200Hobart Handler 120Victor O/A & Ramco BandsawLincoln 225 ACSnapOn AD HoodMiller XMT304/22AHypertherm Powermax 1650 G3Lincoln Idealarc DC600 w/Extreme 12 VSMiller Digital Elite "Joker"
Reply:Do the search on my user name I built one a while ago. The biggest problem you will face is motor control. If you use a dimmer switch; as it reduces speed it also reduces torque, not what you want. Read the thread I started and all will be explained. Good luckHere you go linky to thread on hereand a more in depth one a UK site hereand more discussion on motor controllers here |
