What's the strangest request you have gotten? Something to build

So a guy at my work came to my desk and saw a catch can I made and asked if i used a spool gun and I said no a tig. I'm practicing still. And he said oh I may have a side job for you. Ok I didn't think much of it, and I was going from building to another and he saw me and asked me to come to the parking garage to show me something. He has his motorcycle sitting there and asked if I could weld up 2 boxes about 8" wide, 4" tall and 3feet long. He was going to do all the braces and secure it to the bike. I asked what it was for and he said when he goes places, his girlfriend would be on the back of the bike and each box was for their small dogs. One for each and he wanted to put a fence around it.I was like ummm, no lol. Definitively not. In fact I don't recommend it at all haha. Reply:He was probably serious. I built a trailor for my Dr's Aprillia, just for his 2 dogs. He had A/C hooked up to it to keep them cool, and a bubble top made so they can see out of it. Reply:its not the "strangest" request but it still funny, some of you probably know the kind of guy that came at your shop for a repair, but the item is actualy scrap and rusted and not repairable, and due to money reason he don't want to replace it , just a "repair", anyway, a guy come to my boss and asked to repair a back door trailer, at first (probably 200 years ago before J-C) the trailer was made with 1 1/2 X3/16 square HSS and 2" X 1/4 FB (average good stuff to build a normal trailer) The HSS tube was all rusted and maibe 5 or 6 pierced rusted at different place on 1 foot long, the FB was welder at 4 spot when the trailer was build, but now it was holding with really strong tie wrap and everything was falling appart, start mto explain him how it SHOULD be repair with new material, ask to the boss for a price, he still keep he first idea to make the repair on the old material! at first the request was for the door only, to be able to remove the door and put on my table i had to go inside the trailer on the trailer floor, the first step i do my leg pass throught the floor, the sheet metal just fail due to rust haha, guess what ? the guy just decide to go home with he's trailer saying ok ill go buy another one hahaCalculator > Bevel Square

Reply:Just got handed a load of 200 year old mine railroad track to bend into various radius's for an architectual layout with old mine carts.  Bent it in increments with a harbor freight pipe bender and perfected it after it was spiked to the ties. Came out good, but there is a lot of old mine dirt to be swept up on my shop floor.

Reply:It's at a "young life" Christian camp called woodleaf in the Sierra foothills.  I have done a bunch of free sidejobs for them in the past.  I had a very small part in there overall landscape job.  They are replacing three layers of old redwood deck with a Gold mine themed landscape.  There are many mines on and around the properties up there.  They have an old abandoned stamp mill with a one lung engine way up in the forest no one knows about that they want to move down.  Looking at those mines make you feel lazy no matter how hard you work, but then when you look at the cemetary's all the miners barely made it to 50!
