Have any of you worn a welding shirt from Martin Brothers? I'm actually stopping by their small factory in Idabel, OK on my way to Arkansas at the end of this week to check them out. If you haven't noticed from the few posts that I've made here, I'm all sorts of pro-US made stuff.http://www.mountaincloth.com

Reply:For that price I'll just keep buying Carhartt long sleeve work shirts for $30 at the local work clothing outlet.
Reply:The issue I have had is with the snaps............I always do XXXX Heavy Starch and press. this makes the shirt last much longer. If the snaps are of low quality material they will break, fail to snap or just disentergrate when they press the shirt.I go with simple, old fashioned buttons (keep some spares). I install velcro on the sleeves to keep the sparks from getting in just above the cuff of my glove. Thanks,HoboLincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go. Growing partial to the "Short Hoods" in my old age. Last count on Short Hoods was 13 in possession. |
