Help. What is the name of this tool?

Thanks in advance.  I've been looking all over but can't find the name for the actual tool.  It is used to flare out the inside of the side wall of a tank in order to weld a ferrule or whatever to the other side.  I've seen them used but I never heard what they were called.  It leaves a smooth transition on the inside that looks like this: Attached Images

Reply:It's like that but i don't believe it is used with a press,  I was under the impression it was a smaller tool.  It was used to weld a 1 1/2" ferrule onto the side of a small tank. No way he got a press in there.

Reply:Hello Motorbreath, I don't know the exact name of it either. However, I believe that it is the same sort of tool that is used to "pull" tees on some pipe applications. It has a "finger" for lack of a better description that is inserted through an undersized hole. The finger is threaded and as the person using it unscrews it through a flange plate that sits on top of the hole it opens up the starter hole and "pulls" a sort of raised flange up and out to allow for the sort of connection that you are speaking of. Reply:Thanks guys. I was getting tired of running around in circles.  Anytime I did a search about a flaring tool, it always seemed to come back with something about copper tubing.
Reply:Flaring punch, I just bought one from snap-on and the tip broke off it, they make a punch with a sharp tip and further up the punch it widens to form a countersink, depending on your application these items can have a punch and die for iron workers.
