Use anti-spatter on parts?

Can you use most common brands of anti spatter on your parts to be welded and still end up with quality welds and quality finish of the parts?  We just found out the brand we are using is burning into our parts and will not plate properly without some serious removal.  The can says we can spray on and can be painted over...yeah right.
Reply:What brand are you using? I use anti spatter on all of my pipe joints I weld and they paint right over it.
Reply:We use MATHESON Select anti-spatter spray.  What brands do people use out there?
Reply:Butter flavored non stick cooking spray.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:i used Pam cooking spray on my weld tables for a while but it was a sticky pain in the butt to clean it for recoating. i use Radnor water base anti spatter now. i get it in 1 gallon jugs and cut it 50/50 with water and spray it on with a spray bottle. just bought 2 gallons for $32 to make 4 gallons of mix. it lasts on the tables for quite along time. i have never used it on parts, but parts that come in contact with it on the table while welding paint up with no problems.225NT bobcatAEAD200LEScott 125mm175, mm252 w 30A, PT225mm211, TA 181iHyper Therm 380, cut master 529100X & XX, Digital Elite6 Victor setssmith little torch, meco midget kalamazoo band sawsteel max saw evoulution circular saw

Reply:i think your plater needs to step up their pre plating cleaning process.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
