I have a Lincoln 300d I would like to know what temperature my machine is running when I have on 120-190 setting and the fine current at 40 ? Is there a chart that shows you what what temperature your on ... On different settings

Reply:You know now that I think about it a lil more. Its probably in the 115 to 120 amp range. I burn a hot 3/32 7018 around there. I dont know af any chart as far as the lincoln settings, I just go by the feel, not numbers, ya know.
Reply:its going to depend on how your machine welds.... but i set my on current range 120-190 and fine tune between 35 and 40 and to me that feels like its about 95 -100 amps. best thing to do is to set it by feel.Last edited by gto_welder01; 08-07-2012 at 11:33 PM.
Reply:I notice when I weld the root pipe with 1/8 6010 5p+ at 120-190 fine current 40 it leaves a big key hole on my stops and 35 is to cold ... I guess I need to keep going at it and see what fits me !
Reply:try bumping the current range selector to 2nd gear (80-130)
