I aquired this from a fellow who was selling out his shop and thought you may enjoy seeing it. Its recycling at its best. He had this faceplate from a lathe he no longer had and drilled six holes in it, added three legs which didn't hurt the faceplate, to make this table. It can still be used as a faceplate as it still has the D-mount pins. The weight makes it very stable. And it maxes out at 760 RPMs,  sorry about that, I couldn't resist. Attached Images
Reply:Now that's an interesting idea! Being cast iron weld berries won't stick to it. Now put a gear motor on it and you'll have a great rotary table.

Reply:I knew this would invoke some interesting comments and it did. Still, its a pretty cool table. Thanks for your comments.

Reply:that's one expensive faceplate to use as a welding table...but what works works.  I wouldn't expect to find one of those for cheap anywhere.Nice KMG clone.  If you need any contact wheels, platens, guide/drive wheels, etc... go to http://beaumontmetalworks.com/.  Rob (the owner) is a really good guy.  He's the one who pretty much invented that grinder model.--Wintermute"No man's knowledge here can go beyond his experience." - John Lockewww.improvised-engineering.comManufacturer Agnostic:Blood----------Sweat---------Tears----|------------------|----------------|----Lincoln Red, Miller Blue, Esab Yellow
