I've been poking around on the AWS website trying to find the specs for D1.1 unlimited. A contractor that gave me a call said they need me to carry the NYS DOT 4G card in addition to my 3G card.I burned on 3/4" plate when I took my 3G and 4G D1.1. I figure I'll burn a D1.1 unlimited on 1" plate while I'm at it between passes, but I can't remember if the setup requires 3"x7" plates with a 22.5 degree bevel and 1/4" root, or if the qualification procedures allow using beveled plates that are wider than 3 inches.I have a pretty good lead on some 1" scrap steel for 60 cents a pound, and I just want to make sure this stuff will do the trick before I buy it. Anyone know a good link to the part of the code I need?

Reply:Yeah, I did a call out on Long Island and hauled my job trailer down there with me. I figured the job was worth it, until I got butt-raped going across the GW and Throgs Neck... 4 axles, both bridges came to $47.I should have just gone down the bronx river parkway and taken my chances with the commercial plates. |
