Reply:My #17; 150 amp gets hot, too. And I'm just a hobby weldor. Without adding the cost of a watercooler, the next step is a #26, at 200 amps. It's larger size may be an issue for some.9-11-2001......We Will Never ForgetRetired desk jockey. Hobby weldor with a little training. Craftsman O/A---Flat, Vert, Ovhd, Horz. Miller Syncrowave 250
Reply:I use a CK 20 water cooled 250 amp torch and Dynaflux Tig'r cooler on my TA 185. Torch never gets hot! Reply:I'll second the going to a watercooled torch idea.I've burnt up a few heads and they aren't that expensive, but it really sucks to have to sit and wait for the torch to cool eventhough the welder it's self is fine. The next torch I buy will be watercooled. My name's not Jim.... |
