ok, so here is my first attempt at welding,i have a Lincoln mig/pak 120, i'm not sure if it is able to have gas hooked up to it as it is a smaller model? anyway, i'm just learning so it seems to work fine. there are alot of porcupine quills and slag that i still need to remove from the chain area and where it connects to the bolt.i had heat all the way up and the wire speed set at the fastest at first, but then slowed it down, as i was always finding i had alot of wire coming out when i stopped.i have made both mirror arms, but havent had the chance to weld on the bolts that will connect to the mirrors yet. but i cant wait to get them mounted and hopefully they wont fall apart when i'm driving!!let me know what you think.thanks Attached Images
Reply:Perhaps you should try laying some beads on some flat steel and practice that way before you attempt another project. O and what are they for?and welcome to the forumRyan_______________________OF COURSE I DON'T LOOK BUSY... I DID IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
