I wanna ask about the tools used by Welding Inspector.What is the common tools used by Inspector during fit up?What is the name of tools that used to measure the angle of the bevel/groove?What is the name of tools that used to measure the gap between groove/bevel?

I believe the proper term is "VISUAL ACUITY"http://www.aws.org/certification/docs/cert0603.pdfDuring fit up a "High / Low" gauge is used.A protractor measures the bevel.A spacing tool to set / measure the gap.I feel like I went back to "Fitter 101" class.........HoboLincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go. Growing partial to the "Short Hoods" in my old age. Last count on Short Hoods was 13 in possession.
