Reply:It's been years since I've really pushed one, but I'd say they'll take anything your hand will.Don’t pay any attention to meI’m just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400
Reply:What CEP said. It's the duty cycle of the power supply you need worry about. The K3000 will burn carbon sticks all day long.
Reply:You can run an Arcair torch till you melt the welder pushing it and your hands give out, don't worry about hurting it.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:Hello royalblue302, just to add a bit of logic to what the others have said. The Arcair uses compressed air as a major part of it's function; as well as forcing the removal of the molten metal by way of air pressure it acts as a built-in cooling source for the torch jaws. If you want to preserve the protective bakelite pieces around the jaws just be sure to advance the rod before it gets too close to the jaw assembly. Good luck and best regards, Allanaevald
Reply:I figured the air coming threw would provide cooling I was just curious thanks for all the responses!
Reply:As long as your welding machine and compressor can keep up that thing will burn the glove off your hand long before its ready to quit.
