4 x 4 Lincoln PM350

Not much of a project but it looks cool.I don't have concrete in my garage yet so I had to turn the PM350 into a 4x4.I don't move it much so I didn't make it with front steering but it still rolls really easy on the gravel.Cletis Attached Images
Reply:That looks very good, but my only concern is if you have a flat. I would try a controled test by letting the air out of the rear tire slowly and if there were no problems, I would let the air out of front one on the same side, while bracing of course to see if it was stable. Those tires go flat over time and with all that upper weigh, I'm always concerned about it flipping over. Also, if you move it around too much, I think front steering will be your first modification.
Reply:Looks very nice! Gives me a few ideas for something cool, along with being functional. Any other tricked out welders out there? I am thinking chrome go kart wheels.
Reply:I'm in the same boat, as far as no concrete, so believe me I am all about "off road" carts. I used the front wheels off of junked riding mowers for my carts.
Reply:I did something similar for my 215  but I put some wings out to the side on front and put on some swivel casters. Solid tires on the swivels tho. Air on the back. You could probably look at transitioning to swivel mounts some day way down the road if it ends up being a problem. But heck, all it has to do is work for you .
