Reply:Are you sure it's not a V250-S you're looking at? As far as I know, Lincoln didn't put out a V260-S. The V250-S was the precursor to the current V275-S, which got the bump in amperage to do battle with Miller's offerings.I've got a V275-S and it lays down a VERY smooth bead in stick mode. The arc force control is quite nice for fine tuning, though not a necessity. Same thing with the hot-start feature. Comes in very handy when trying to strike on a rusty or oily surface, but not a life-or-death feature.I haven't tried it out in TIG mode yet, but I've got a torch and pedal in the garage waiting for Spring to roll around.All-in-all I'm very pleased with the V-Series Invertec stick welder. If you can get it for $100, and there are no problems with it, I'd say definitely jump at the chance.-NathanLincoln Invertec V275-S
