Recently traded in a Miller 302 for a Lincoln 300 SAE. Although I have used one before briefly, having a heck of a time setting this one, come to think of it, never had to set the other one. Kind of surprised that the "manual" (now on computer CD) gave no reference other than set fine tune current at 60 and go from there. Wondering if anyone would have a guess of where attempt to set it for a 1/8 6010 and 3/32 7018, that would be a great start. Last edited by welditchick; 11-17-2012 at 09:41 AM.
Reply:I've never operated an SAE300 but check out page 4 here http://www.lincolnelectric.com/asset...oln3/im203.pdf and I think it should help to explain setting up the machine for the desired results.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!

Reply:Figured it out. Set 6010 high on main dial so that ocv can be set on right (crisp) side, low numbers. Set 7018 low so can set fine tune on high side (soft). Still the settings are infinite and almost never the same twice. Kinda have to pack a plate around to tune in daily. |
