I'm a beginner and have an opportunity of buying second hand Magicwave 2000 or 2200 - anyone here know these TIGs / could make a recommendationof whether it's worthwhile paying extra for the newer/lighter/digital model ?
Reply:I dont know what a Magic Wave TIG might be like but i know Fronius make good welders.Much like my Kemppi which not a lot know about.Do a Google search on it. Im sure you will find something on it.I did a quick search and found that they started making the Magic Wave in 1993 and into the 2000's.And on a UK Welding forum its described as being a great machine.Google is a great thing.
Reply:I got a chance to see the Fronius mig welders at the 09 Fabtech show. Very sweet machines. Mercedes Benz of welding equipment from what I saw. If I had a chance to get any of their stuff second hand or on sale I'd jump on it.
