For those of you who have had a table ground out what does that usually cost?i have a 3x4 1/2 table that i would like to get ground but i have a couple of problems.1. there doesnt seem to be anybody around atlanta that does such a large format. which leads me to think it is $$$$$$$2. I havent got a clue what it would cost.but what search terms do you guys use i seem to be running into stump ginders mostly =/

Reply:For your reference, my 5x8 cast iron table was $900 for surface grinding. That involved grinding the top, flipping it over and grinding the underside & then flipping it over again and going over the top one last time.
Reply:I paid $200 to have a 48x70x0.625" plate done. It took a couple calls to find someone that would do that size...it takes a large machine. I feel like I got a pretty good deal.Edit: Also, just call someone that does blanchard grinding. Usually, if it's too big for them to do, they will probably tell you who will do it.
