Has anyone converted a radial arm saw for use with a plasma torch? Ive found an old rusty one for $20 and some nicer ones for $50.Of course Im gonna ditch the saw motor.
Reply:I can't see why it wouldn't work as long as you managed to wire the trigger so it was convenient. This is the same principal as a track torch. I could see real possibilities for repetitive angled or beveled cuts on bar stock. The bed might take a beating and need some changes depending on the original design..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Thanks for the feedback DSW. I hadnt thought about the beveling but good idea. I think the trigger would have to be set up like the trigger on the saw but in a different position. The table would need to be like any cutting table I guess (grates). |
