I Been working on a 35ft with 5 ft dovetail 40 ft gooseneck flatbed. The custumer was getting tired of blocking the trailer everytime he load or unload his machinery. I made a jack stand where all he gotta do is unfold and no more blocking the trailer up. the stand should hold up to 12 tons. He hual a cat E706B track hoe with the trailer. I am not done yet. I think that I will put another ste of legs in the middle but custumer asked me to wait and look at it before I do it. Will post more pictures when im done Attached ImagesOf course I don't look busy.....I did it right the first time!
Reply:more pics as you can see how the stand will hold trailer up from rearin up Attached ImagesOf course I don't look busy.....I did it right the first time!
Reply:It is hard to see from the pictures, but is there any clearance from the bottom of the stand to the ground? On my 10T trailer I see the deck drop about 1-1.5" after I load the skid steer. If there is no clearance between the stand and the ground then he will not be able to raise the ramps once he has his gear on board. It would be a good idea to measure how far the deck drops under load and then add a small buffer.Hobart LX235Victor 250 Oxy-Acetylene Rig (welding and cutting)Bobcat 773F-350, 1999, 4x4, 16' 10K# trailerOutdoor Wood Burner - 10 cords/year
Reply:Yes your right and the custumer and I had decided to build the ramps with the load on it and that helped alot and I had to weld rods across the ramps becuase the track hoe tracks kept slipping. It was a very challenging and intersting project for me bucuse I manily do Heavy equipment repairs and hard surfacing blades and buckets and build steel sheds and fence.Of course I don't look busy.....I did it right the first time! |
