I was bored on my birthday, So there was a few lengths of 3/8" Rebarb laying around. This Is What I Came Up With. Some Blue , Some Red & Some GreyProverbs 16:2-3.2 "All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. 3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
Reply:Seems like rebar is about the cheapest steel we can find to play with these days (except for the guys on this web who happen to have some really great cast-offs at their jobsites).  Good job on the log holder.  Did you pad the "feet" of the unit to prevent floor scratches?Miller Syncrowave 350Millermatic 252/ 30A spoolgunMiller Bobcat 225g w/ 3545 spoolgunLincoln PowerArc4000Lincoln 175 Mig  Lincoln 135 Mig Everlast 250EX TigCentury ac/dc 230 amp stickVictor O/AHypertherm 1000 plasma
Reply:Thanks, I didnt put pads down, I should of.  I didnt at the time think they were necessary because thats the laminent hard wood floor, So it is scratch proof.  Thats right about the rebarb prices.  I just bought for a job 60' of 1/2" cold rolled round bar, it was $39.00.  The rebarb for a 20' length was $6.95.Some Blue , Some Red & Some GreyProverbs 16:2-3.2 "All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. 3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
Reply:looks great
Reply:Nice looking job, man.  Happy birthday!(Retired) Professional firefighter, amateur everything else I try to do...Oh yeah:  Go Big Red!   (You know: one of the 12 members of the Big 10 cuz we left the 10 members of the Big 12...)
Reply:Looks Awesome!(Iwish I had a Fireplace..)You may want to think about doubling or tripling those rebar feet once you go to refill your wood...  Two or three across will give you more stability and surface area to put on furniture 'floor-protector' pads..(I like the 'cut to size' ones myself...)Cheers,Miller Diversion 165120 amp Buzz BoxVictor Oxy/Ace Oxy/LPGSmith "Little" Oxy/LPGHypertherm Powermax 30Lot's of Misc. tools n' crap....
