Hi-Freq box

I was given a Lincoln Hi-Freq box that I would like to hook to my Lincoln AC/DC machine.I need a laymans instruction on how to wire it.I'm not concerned with the main lugs but more on the sensor wiring the remote button and grounding.regarding the remote button,will a foot control work in its place?thanks,Ron
Reply:I don't have any info for you, but I've been consdering buying one to hook up to my Lincoln Ranger 8. Reply:If its the Hi- Freq box that is like mine, the remote is a lamp cord plug in, all it does is fire the selenoids for gas and water and the arc. Its a momentary single pole switch. To break the arc, flip the tig torch out of the pool. Goto Lincolns site, find the manual.I forgot how to change this.
Reply:Thanks,the manual says something of connecting the power source to a fused 115V source inside the welder,this to assure an in-phase relationship!...don't want any more relations than the one I gotwhat about the "A" and "B" switches and the voltage sensing lead.and last but not least can I replace the start button with a foot control.The button looks like it has seen some heat in its days.Thanks,Ron
Reply:well I have everything connected but i can't seem to get my head around what I need to do with the voltage sensing connection.The manual says that if you have a transformer welder you connect it to the fan wiring and then looking at the scheme it shows that it is connected to the work side of the welder.Would connecting it to the piece being welded on suffice here.Thanks,Ron
