Hey guys I just recently joined here to try and get some welding tips. Welding is something I've been interested in for a very long time. I don't have the time to take a class for it or I would! It's just one of those things I would like to know how to do to tinker around with! I do have a welder and I've attempted it a few times with hardly any success! It's a craftsman wire feed welder and I'm kinda confused on it and how to use it. I've got the manul and ill be reading through it for how to set up the wire and all that but my main question is what kind of welder is this? Mig? Flux core? What's the difference? Is it a decent welder? What all can I weld with it? Do you all have any tips on teaching yourself to weld? I have a bunch of projects I want to try, mainly a front and rear bumper for my truck and four wheeler. And I would be like to be able to weld up an exhaust leak if I ever get another. Can I do that with this welder? Here's a link to the one I have:m.sears.com/productdetails.do?partNumber=00920568000P&sid=&psi d=Thanks guys! It looks like a great forum!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
