Im looking to make a TIG cart and I'd like to use pneumatic tires/wheels on it. I'm probably looking at 12" OD for the rear and 6-8" for the front. I'll need the front to be casters. Does anyone know of a good supplier online for these and whether or not they exist? If they don't exist, does anyone have pics of whath theyve built and what type of bearings they've incorporated?I did a google search and came up empty. I haven't really found anything yet that will fill a tire rock hard as if the tires were fully or slightly over inflated.
Reply:second on them getting foamed. I have a couple of machines on carts with pneumatic wheels and they were a total pain in the *** till i got foamed wheels for themVantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
Reply:Exc for HF, they're all a bit pricier than expected. I wasn't expecting to spend $200 just on wheels.Sounds like a place where the cheap HF stuff may work. The wheels wont have a mile on them in my lifetime. Thanks again.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum

Reply:Problem I've had with Great Stuff is that in super thick uses it doesn't dry very well in the center quickly. It's worse in colder temps. I doubt they would be a good choice for this application. It also doesn't tend to "bounce back" when crushed very well.Fully curing has never been an issue with any of the 2 part foams I've tried. The down side is that they are super messy to work with on average. 2 part auto mixers aren't that cheap, though I have started to see more "homeowner" versions available at lower prices..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Any tire shop that does large commercial tires has the tire sealant mentioned by Southpaw. They may give you the remnants left in the bucket so they don't have to pay to get rid of the bucket. Foam filling is pretty expensive for something that is not in a commercial shop or isn't going to be moved a lot.Millermatic 200Hobart Handler 120Victor O/A & Ramco BandsawLincoln 225 ACSnapOn AD HoodMiller XMT304/22AHypertherm Powermax 1650 G3Lincoln Idealarc DC600 w/Extreme 12 VSMiller Digital Elite "Joker"
Reply:Are you certain you need pneumatic? Unless your rolling this thing on the dirt/gravel/grass a solid tire is better around the shop. They make flat free tires similar to pneumatic but are solid cushy foam. After two flat tires on my wheel barrow in one week I bought a flat free and it's awesome. When this barrow rust out... I'll move the tire to the new one. http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/ma...campaignId=T9L
