I am building a new welding table and would like to put a push down type lift on the legs that takes picks up the table when I have it in place and gets the weight off the rollers but not sure what they are called and where to get them.If anyone has used these and have a name or part number that you would share it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Randy

Reply:Thanks,, this is something to look into even if not this project but one like this for my garage.
Reply:What your looking for is called a lifting caster. They are kinda expensive. I've attached an image. Another less expensive option is called a leveling caster which basically has a foot integrated in the caster that can be turn up and down as needed. Do some searching for lifting caster and leveling caster.Of course there are some mechanisms that could be devised to do the same using regular casters. If I recall Grizzly has a mechanism designed for table saws that you might be able to duplicate. Attached Images
Reply:Thank You. That's exactly what I was looking for. |
