I wanted a hard had adapter for my pipeliner hood, so i bought the fibre metal hard hat with the lugs already built in. come to find out pipeliner is too narrow for it to fit onto the hard had. Does anyone know of a hard hat adapter that will work with the fibre metal pipeliner?
Reply:it'll fit but doesnt look like the cap is all the way on the hook?some reason they're made like that.dave

Reply:Maybe call Fibremetal. I also have the Pipeliner, but do not require a hard hat, yet."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:never used one like that. easier to have hooks to switch between the hood and cutting googles.dave
Reply:I have two for the fibre metal hoods. They are called speed rings. I hate welding with a hard hat due to the hood sitting TOO close to my face. I have a very large head and when the hood comes down when using the speed ring, it hits my face and nose. In fact, I am looking at other options. At the moment I don't have to use a hardhat.
Reply:You have to push the buttons in so the cups will snap deeper onto the lugs.
Reply:I just noticed that, too. Killroy, you don't have it snapped in all the way.
Reply:not on all the way, but as far as it'll go. i even tried to heat and shape the hood a little so it would fit better, no luck
