Reply:haha Necessity is the mother of all invention.. I was doing some welding under the dash of a Chevelle and adapted some LEDS from AOSafety LED glasses. Works ok, could be brighter.

Reply:I was under a trailer welding a new deck on it so I just used black electricle tape and taped a flashlight to my mig gun.  worked great.If you can find a way to make a job easyer, why not do it. Nesesity creates some interesting adaptations.Travis
Reply:Steck came out with this a few years ago. I sold one and the guy that bought it said it works very well. I will probably get one when I need it next. He said it clips on pretty well and didn't fall off all that easily (which was one of my concerns with the design)

Reply:When I first saw this, I thought it was a joke and actually laughed at it.  However....  I just bought my first auto darkening helmet two week ago, and I hadn't thought of the low light issue.  Afterall..... why would I pay $200 for a helmet that I don't have to flip up and down, and then "have to flip it up and down!".  This is something I never thought of.  Thanks for the ideas.  Crazy I never thought of this issue.
