Hey guys, I recently bought a used cutting outfit and cylinders. The handle is a Victor 100 series. I plan on using both acetylene and propane; propane mainly for heating. Looking at the prices for O/P rosebuds online made me nearly choke. Past outfits I have owned, have come with the tips. It seems the cheapest place I can find a MFN-1 heating tip is $80-$100 !!! Since am a weekend warrior now a days, I was looking for a used one or a generic brand that fits my handle. I found one source at weldingdepot.com, $37 for a generic, but I was wondering if there were others out there. ThanksAllen
Reply:I've always been advised by those more knowledgeable than me, to not use a rosebud with propane. I just use my cutting head. Have for years with no problems. Just a thought.Regards,Bert200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
Reply:best bet might be a larger acetylene cutting tip used just for heating.,
Reply:I'd like to find out the HOLE SIZE, and take a drill to my rosebud collection.I could step up size-by-size, but I'm lazy. |
