so started my welder it ran for a few minutes then died checked battery shows 12 volts checked starter power at starter but no power at switch checked every fuse I could find even did a jumper wire to starter solenoid machine fired but with no power to fuel solenoid she just died after a few minutes the welder

Reply:If the machine will start, but won't stay running, I'd look and see if the machine has a low oil cut off and start trouble shooting there. Most diesels on heavy equipment are pretty much idiot proof ( at least the older ones...) If it gets air, fuel and cranks, it runs. At that point it doesn't need any electricity, unlike a gas engine. The electric only kills the engine by shutting down the fuel, unlike a gas engine where you ground out the spark plugs or turn off the electric to the ignition system..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:If I remember correctly, that machine has 3 dummy safetys, overheat, low oil, and low fuel. Check all of those and get back to us.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:my post is not showing everything the machine has power at the battery and starter but no power anywhere else checked all the fuses I mean I took every cover off there are two under the engine and two in front just before the upper ecm board is there anything anywhere else ? I cant even find a burnt wire did smell something for a few seconds then everything went dead there is no power at the switch and for the gentalman telling me to buy a lincoln I have a 305g ln 25 sp170t miller acdc tig grinders torches bandsaws chopsaws full service truck more tools that I can list and a c-50 if you even know what that means also the low oil and high heat switch? and low fuel has no power to them

Reply:Did you check the switch, I had one go bad on my tractor and it drove me nuts chacing everything but the obvious.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
