Well I started out 13 years ago with an automotive business and it's still that along with a small machine shop and welding shop. Still only me and the wife (the boss) here though. Since January of this year I've bought a DX200 and Coolmate 3 and then built the "Crazy Cart" for it. Well now I've jumped in and got a new Trailblazer 302. I needed a trailer for it but only large enough that I had room to store it when not needed so that's why I went with the size I did.I built the trailer out of 1/8th rectangular tubing. Built in compartments as pictured and there a place up front for either torches or a plasma. I added shocks to the thing. There's hooks inside for the factory cover as well. Anyway here's the trailer.Miller 302 Trailblazer/Custom TrailerMillermatic 350P/Spool gunMillermatic 252Miller Spectrum 875Miller Dynasty200DxHypertherm Powermax 85Tracker CNC 4X8 Pro Table (Down Draft)Visit us @ www.specialtyrepairscustommods.com

Reply:All finished just in time to go get it dirty.  --Gol'
Reply:I really like the triangles from the fenders to the frame. I hesitated to call them steps, do you intend to use them that way?Very sharp. Top notch work.
Reply:Wow!  I thought it was made for a Miller show or something at first.  Nice job!Me!
Reply:That is one sweet rig, you need to submit those pics to your local LWS and have them send them to their Miller district manager to put in the newsletter Miller puts out. Awesome, very impressive!!
Reply:You can't actually use that thing. Reply:Fabulous!
Reply:It's so beautiful!  Crazy cart is cool too.  Since the cart isn't too banged up, I'm guessing you will keep this trailer in good shape for a long time.  Well done!
Reply:I have known 4shorts for a lot of years now and each project he completes has been awesome. His attention to detail is amazing as is evident in this Trailblazer welding trailer. 4shorts actually has a “Museum” where he displays many of his projects. He loves to show off his handy work so send him an email and request a few pictures. Another Great Project Paul.
Reply:I was gonna post pictures of a trailer i just finished, but after seeing this - i don't think so. very nice work.

Reply:You are a true inspiration with your quality of work and attention to detail! But I feel compelled to ask:  How do you manage to keep everything so clean and spiffy in the Newfoundland winter environment?  I live in New Hampshire and winter makes everything absolutely filthy with road grime.  It will be late July before we get everything cleaned up!Member, AWSLincoln ProMIG 140Lincoln AC TombstoneCraftsman Lathe 12 x 24 c1935Atlas MFC Horizontal MillCraftsman Commercial Lathe 12 x 36 c1970- - - I'll just keep on keepin' on.

Reply:Gee thanks everyone for the compliments on the trailer. I also post my work on this site because of the respect I have for the board members and the work all you guys do so your comments are very much appreciated. Now to try and answer a few questions. Oldtimer I worked every weekend for the last four weekends and three nights a week after work to build the thing from scratch. There's about 70 hours including the time to prep and paint it. Daddy those steps are very usable and as a matter of fact there so strong I have used them to put the trailer on the hoist but I'll try and avoid using them if I can.SS42768 you mentioned you need to submit those pics to your local LWS and have them send them to their Miller district manager to put in the newsletter Miller puts out. Our local LSW has no interest in this stuff and wouldn't care if I put the trailblazer in a dumpster. I have always found there isn't much interest locally on the stuff I do or have done in the past.Bandaid I have purchased allot of gear from our LWS and all of it Miller. I consider myself really lucky is someone said "Thank you" So it's not likely Miller will supply the decals.burntshirt I really look after my gear. After all it has to make me a living. I can post a picture of this next year and it won't look much different but it will be used.Rural America. Man I didn't expect to see you on here! Wow. Folks I can honestly say If I  do have a true friend he's down in Iowa. Thanks for the kind remarks Jerry.Magnetic Mechanic. Man post your trailer. I haven't seen a trailer I didn't like. By us building our own trailer or anything else for that matter we're just building it to suite our induvdual needs so what might be good for me may be useless to you. I'm sure your trailer is great and I would personally enjoy seeing you post a picture of it. That's how we all get our ideas.Mondo thank you for your kind words. Well I really like to keep things in order and clean is a big part of that. If you notice in the pictures the truck pulling the trailer is my 1993 GMC 4X4. The truck plows snow each and every day in the winter months and it' mind and never been painted. It now has 100.000 KM. The locals say it's the truck that never get dirty! Ha! Ha!Rustywranglar. I wouldn't know who to contact when it comes to that sort of thing and I find these big companies don't really care. It might be because there just looking for something exceptional as well. Glad you like it though. Thanks!Zapster my friend your one of the main reasons I keep coming here. Your work is second to none and to even have you post on my work is an honor and a big thank you for doing so and to everyone else. Reply:Great Stuff Paul, as always.  Take chenry up on his offer, your projects deserve proper recognition by Miller.  They should be proud to have their name on your handiwork.  I'm sure that it is of MUCH higher caliber than what the OCC Monkeys turned out, and at a miniscule fraction of the price.Keep up the good work.Later,Jason

Reply:Originally Posted by Black WolfYou bet Paul.  I don't get to see them as often as I would like, but I do stop at the old shop when I can.  They are making good use of the shop prints I left them, and are cranking out the big iron.  I am getting some info & a video together to help one of them challenge his 2nd year, so he can advance with his apprenticeship.  I have full confidence in him, as he and I worked together for over 2 years total, and he is a skilled welder.  Should have NO trouble with the challenge - he just has to believe in himself a little more.
Reply:Absolutly amazing! Cant wait to see whats next.

Reply:Thanks Craig. Very much appreciated. I actually did take chenry up on his offer and it was very nice of him to do so. I'm not used to getting much in the way of help  so I thought this was very nice of him.Riding season. I really don't think were getting one this year. It's that cold here today I had to put on two pairs of boots the same time to keep my toes warm  If you want to see more pics of the bikes I've done and all the other restorations click here http://www.flickr.com/photos/15602393@N05/   Thanks for the compliment and the post. Reply:Had a few guys ask me where I got the Miller tire cover. It's actually just a plain black cover that I used here. I figured I'd show you how I did it. Made a stencil. cleaned the vinyl cover down with rubbing alcohol. Applied stencil and paper. Used vinyl paint. Wait 15 minutes to dry and remove stencil and paper and you got yourself a hard to find Miller tire cover.Miller 302 Trailblazer/Custom TrailerMillermatic 350P/Spool gunMillermatic 252Miller Spectrum 875Miller Dynasty200DxHypertherm Powermax 85Tracker CNC 4X8 Pro Table (Down Draft)Visit us @ www.specialtyrepairscustommods.com

Reply:I've been receiving a few emails lately asking me how I did the sliding rear drawer so I attached a few pictures of it for you to see. The sliding drawer works off two heavy duty ball bearing tracks. Much the same as you would see on a high end tool box. It works very smooth and is very strong. Have a look. Reply:Thanks guys for your comments. I realized shortly after I built the trailer that although I like where I placed the rear lights it created a problem. I built and installed the roll bars and put my company logo on it and people would want to get so close to the rear of the trailer to view it I was afraid I would get rear ended so I installed a LED light bar up on the roll bar to try and prevent that from happening. I installed a picture and a video of how it works.
