Hi guys, new here.Anyway I just picked up an Thermal dynamics pakmaster 100xl plus that was set for 460v 3 phase.I did the necessary things to switch it to 220v single phase by flipping the buss bar and connecting the little wire that lines up with the square 220v hole. Then connected the jumper from L3 to L2 according to the manual.Unit seems to work fine except it makes a buzzing noise from the contactor switch...Is it possible it needs a new switch or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any help!
Reply:Well I fixed it tonight, all a guy has to do is remove the 2 nuts holding the contactor switch to the housing.Once removed you will see 4 small screws holding the metal base to the plastic switch.Once that's off the magnet coil assembly falls right out so be careful.A little 400 grit on the contacts to shine the rust off and she's good as new.No more buzzing.I gave it a shot of wd40 also to keep the corrosion at bay.Hopefully my post helps someone with similar issues.
