anyone doing this out there i have seen pictures of this im using a miller 350p on reg. mig mode gas im using is 92/8 the welds arent bad but look like looks like the weld is just sitting on top of the stainless . running about 26-28 volts 350 wire speed . any help would be great thanks
Reply:I had the same result using Esab 316L Shielded Bright. Poor bead appearence and visual lack of fusion was a common result no matter what the volts and/or wire speed were set at. So we went back to pulsed mig.
Reply:I have been running the stainless dual shield on a Lincoln powermig 350 at 26-28 volts and wire speed at 250-290 depending on position.UA Local 598
Reply:Nothing to add there, we run pulsed spray for stainless. However, you live in quakertown? Im in souderton, where do you work if you dont mind me asking?Have we all gone mad?
Reply:We've used 309L dual shield with straight CO2 for cladding purposes. It has given us no issues. I couldn't tell you settings, but the settings aren't any different than they are for mild steel dual shield welding. |
