New to ForumHi all.Working on my degree in MacGyver Physics. Working on a new application for a plasma torch specifically information on microwave amplified plasma torches. Does anyone on this forum have any knowledge or practical application with this type of apparatus?ThanksCraigLast edited by CNM DESIGN; 08-12-2010 at 07:16 PM.Reason: spelling
Reply:Here you go....here is a You Tube video of a microwave plasma......definitely could be achieved by Mr. Macgyver.[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AE3dRBlQjTE[/ame]Jim
Reply:JimGood one! Thats MacGyver 101.I'm 54 not 15I was thinking something a little more like this.http://www.wipo.int/pctdb/en/wo.jsp?WO=2000069230
Reply:I am 54 as well......Sorry for the kidding around but I had seriously never heard of this particular method of generating a plasma. I'm not sure how it might apply to cutting and welding applications....to me it looks like a better process for incineration......such as disposal of toxic wastes, etc. The temperature of a plasma is great for breaking chemicals and materials down to base elements.Best regards, Jim Colt Hypertherm |
