This is my first table build.  I became interested in plasma CNC because of a friend of mine.  So I took the plunge to supplement my welding business and here is my progress so far.I used 3" x 3" x 3/16ths square tubing.  I built it higher on one side than the other for ease of loading material from one side.  I am driving it with CandCNC electronics coupled with a Miller 875 Autoline plasma unit.  I have the X axis slaved.  I am using CandCNC's Bladerunner AIO 5 axis package.  The 12' linear rails were purchased directly from PBC Linear out of California and they were easy to deal with.As you can see I made the table movable.  I don't know what the future holds....maybe at some point I will need to move it...into a larger shop.....or into my garage.  I think at this point I probably have $15,000 in material and 4 months labor.  I decided not to use a water table for ease of cleaning and because I want to cut aluminum as well (I heard water and cutting aluminum don't mix).  Plus....I figured it would be easier to sweep up slag than to dispose of chromium sludge. Her she is......Last edited by FabTech Metalworks; 08-07-2011 at 06:07 PM.
