How do you transport $60,000 of high nickle s.s.? Place the pallet on it's side in your enclosed trailer and strap it to the wall with fingers crossed. I had to drag the pallet out on it's lid for the 53' length of the trailer.Fortunately the metal wasnt as bad looking as the pallet. Reply:It happens the world over. I bought a 9' High Fibre Glass Porch Column a while back, when it turned up, it was damaged. I had it out with the driver, as the back of his van looked like the parcels had been launched in from a couple of hundred yards away. He went ape?!! I kicked him off site, when the parcel was returned to the factory it was flat, the bastard must have run it over with a forklift
Reply:I would suggest a new shipping company.www.thefusionsolution.com
Reply:If memory serves me correct there was an experiment done last year of all the primary shippers from the post office to ups and fedex and one or two others that involved a box being shipped long distance on each with gps / accelerometer / G force sensor and impact sensor and when the boxes arrived and the results were recorded the post office had the highest ratings with the least amount of damage and temperature issues. With as much as the USPS is hurting for money I don't understand why they don't get into the freight delivery business. Personally I can say that I've had one issue with a lost package through them but more issues with ups and fedex and several of the freight shippers out there.Welding Supervisor Department of Corrections.
