Hey guys I have a Hobart hefty that needs a contactor. The only ones I could find cost more than the machine. Reply:The wire on the output side of it was loose and the extra resistance heated it all up and destroyed it. Reply:The board is fine . I just noticed the wire was hot after a couple beads. Then it must have broke loose cause it started working fine.  When we got the job done I tore it apart and the points were pretty melted. Reply:Talked to the manufacturer, Found out the contactor for a crown forklift is one # different. Got one ordered today. Reply:Got the forklift contactor repair kit for 116.00 and modified it. Bent the bus bars on one side and cut off the extra from the other side. they aren't as long as the original but everything bolts up just fine.  Fired it up and works like it should.Went ahead and got the one off ebay just in case for a spare but will sell if somebody needs it.
