tweco eliminator pull gun for aluminum

I am wondering if anyone has used a tweco eliminator pull gun before.  I found one locally that has the control box, manual and it 25 feet long.  It is set up for a miller welder.  I have a dip-pak 200 and a lincoln 255.  Anyone know if the gun would be compatible?  I also found a Miller spool gun with a weld controller, could that be used with either of my machines?  Thanks!
Reply:The Lincoln 255 is a common, modern machine and spool guns turn up for them fairly often.The Lincoln Magnum SG is common and was also sold with the 255 as the"K2417-1 One-Pak".
Reply:I have one on my Lincoln Powerwave C-300. You will have to call Thermadyne to see if you can replace the gun back-end with a Tweco #2 style for your Lincoln 255. Mine is a 15ft and came with the Euro back-end. I just used a Euro to Tweco 2/4 adapter. It's good quality and if the price is right, buy it. The control box will give you pre/post flow adjustment Gas plugs into the control box.Last edited by Brand X; 08-21-2010 at 06:02 PM.

Reply:I'll piggyback this thread since it comes up when I search for "Eliminator Pull Gun".I just got one of these with an EPG-CR1 control box (no preflow/postflow-the EPG-CR2 has those), phoned Thermadyne, and found out they are "obsolete", but Thermadyne still has parts and a parts list for the gun.Until I can figure out how to shrink the 165kb .pdf file size under the 150kb attachment limit, PM me if you need the Parts List for the gun, or call Tweco customer care at 800-426-1888.You CAN swap backends just like any other Tweco Spray Master gun (the backend unscrews), and if you use the common Tweco adapter kits, attach the pull gun to any feeder they will fit.The listed backends are "Tweco", "Lincoln, and Miller". The generic "Machine Control Wire Assembly",  Item 20a, would be what to get to adapt the Eliminator to various other machines (add plug of your choice). Miller and Lincoln connector versions are also listed.I'll be getting that and a Hubbell HBL7465V Midget Twist Lock Plug ML-1P 15 Ampto fit my ESAB feeder.Nicely built gun, I'll be looking forward to using it.
