Wire feeder ?

Hey guys i been looking for a wire feeder to run off my 06 bobcat 225nt guy got one for sale it a 12 yr old s-22p12 he says he has two guns and 3 rolls of wire one solid and 2 flux core he is askin 1200 for it says it doesn have a serial number  and it been painted paint is peelin off says it has been gone through with new rollers i just dont no enough bout them i think it is high for it whats your thoughts thxsMILLERMATIC 212 AUTOSETMILLER BOBCAT 250MILLER DIALARC HFMILLER 15A SPOOLGUNMILLER S32P WIRE FEEDERTHERMAL ARC 186 AC/DCPAKMASTER 100XL PLUS
Reply:I'm pretty sure the S22-P12 is an "RC" type feeder where you have to connect the feeder to the machine with a wire and 14 pin connector. Unfortunately your Bobcat lacks that connector and the ability to run an RC type feeder. You will need a VS type feeder like a Miller S 32-P12, VS8, VS 12 or Lincoln LN25 or Hobart Hefty to run a feeder from a Bobcat.$1200 sounds high. I've seen used feeders that should work on your Bobcat running $500-800 depending on age, condition and model. The extra gun and wire might account for the extra money though..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Psa-2 is the box.No contactor just a transformer and plugsWith the box you can run a s22p12, but $1200 is highway robbery.

Reply:http://www.ebay.com/csc/Welding-/340...H_Sold=1&rt=ncThat's link to eBay completed listed for miller s22 in welding section.The average SOLD price for the s22p12s is $500 and they HAVE the serial number on them.The Psa-2 boxes can be had for $125.But that constant speed feeder will not operate 100% perfect on that "cv" output of the bobcat.A volt sensing feeder would be a much better fit.Just recently I picked up a thermal arc lm200(power source) and a thermal arc hefty II (volt sensing wire feeder) for $300, yes the equipment is old, but that feeder runs great.I'm not saying a constant speed feeder can't run on a bobcat (I do it at work all the time) its just not as good.
