I have two almost full 10# rolls of 4043 and 5356 .035 wire that is at least 10 years old. Is it any good or should i toss it? I'm probably going to test it out but don't want to waste time and argon if it's worthless.Campbell Hausfeld Fluxcore 80Thermal Arc 185Millermatic 250JD Squared model 32 bender
Reply:Why would they be bad?If you're worried, peel off the first few feet to expose the wire underneath. If you don't want them, I'll pay for flat rate shipping to my door.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:I'm not sure, just thought maybe excess corrosion over the years, especially being in a very humid environment. I'm going to peel back a few layers anyway just to be sure. Then there's the whole pushing the aluminum wire through the liner thing. I'll be looking on ebay for a spool gun eventually, but will start by trying a teflon liner.Campbell Hausfeld Fluxcore 80Thermal Arc 185Millermatic 250JD Squared model 32 bender
Reply:Do they look corroded or chalky, or are the still clean-looking. If they don't look bad they are most likely fine. |
